Finally, at 3pm no less, Annie was discharged.  We knew it was going to happen from about 10am but it seemed to take an eternity to get everything approved.   At 5pm I could pick them up from Cambridge North train station. At 5.15pm we were home, together as a family under one roof again.   Ooh, what a feeling!!!

The joy of a family … all talking, sitting together for dinner, cuddling, laughing … together… might have just been one of the most special moments of my life.  Something I hope I never take for granted again.
